If your Thule roof box lock is giving you trouble, it might be due to dirt, grime, or frozen mechanisms. First, try using a lock de-icer or a small amount of warm (not hot) water to thaw a frozen lock. If it's not freezing issues, apply a dry lubricant to the lock mechanism. Avoid oil-based lubricants as they can attract more dust and grime. If the problem persists, you may need to replace the lock. Thule supplies replacement keys and locks. Be sure to take note of the number on your key or lock before you purchase the replacement.
