Good morning, My name is Stella Sheldon. When I received my 1099G, it stated that I received $3,[redacted] for unemployment, but I only received $[redacted]. There seems to be an error on the form since when I checked by phone, it indicated that I still have not claimed $2,[redacted]. This discrepancy is causing issues with my tax return, which will be affected by this situation. I have tried to speak with a representative, but it has been challenging to reach a real person. I am unsure how to resolve this on my own, and no one has assisted me yet. I am feeling very stressed as my English is not proficient enough to understand what steps I need to take to correct this. Please, could someone offer me guidance and help? Stella Sheldon

I received a 1099G stating I got $[redacted] in unemployment benefits, but I only received $[redacted] on a debit card. Upon checking my account on Connect, it shows $[redacted] not claimed. I don't understand why I have to pay taxes on money I never received. I've tried calling multiple times, but I can't reach a person, just a machine without answers. Please, can someone help me? I've already started my taxes, and now I'm stuck as I might lose money on my return due to this issue. What should I do to resolve this?

I recently received approval for Covid relief benefits, but a problem arose when the funds and submission button disappeared from the unemployment website. I was unable to provide proof of employment due to lack of cooperation from my former employer during Covid. Fortunately, I now have my W2 from that period, which I can submit. I hope this will assist in reinstating my benefits. I suspect others may be facing a similar situation. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Stay safe.

I have not yet received my [redacted] from Florida unemployment as of February 13, [redacted]. I have attempted numerous times to contact them by phone, but have been unable to reach a live person or find a specific option to address this issue. Despite their claim that a copy should be available for download on the website, I have not been able to locate it. I am still trying to resolve this and have not had any success getting assistance over the phone.

In December, when Florida's unemployment funds ran out, I contacted your call center for advice on reapplying after new government legislation. After following the instructions, my account got locked, and I was directed to verify my identity on I.D. me. Despite numerous calls and emails to unlock the account, I've been told to wait for the Fraud team to contact me for unlocking. It's been three months, and I urgently need my account unlocked to receive my unemployment benefits. Please assist in unlocking my account. Claimant number: #[redacted]. Thank you.

I reside in Ft. Lauderdale, FL and completed a one-day temporary job on October 29, [redacted]. However, my payment has been on hold since November 1, [redacted]. Despite contacting them every two weeks while applying for my benefits, the response remains the same. I am informed that they have all the necessary information, acknowledged my single work day, but my case remains unassigned. Despite assurances of emails being sent to supervisors for expediting my case due to the prolonged delay, I have yet to witness any progress. Despite my requests to speak directly with a supervisor or visit their office for assistance, I have been met with obstacles at every turn. I am in despair as I struggle to find concrete support or resolutions.

I tried calling the helpline at 1-[redacted] for assistance as a claimant but kept getting stuck in a loop with no one answering regardless of the option selected. The system repeatedly states it cannot take the call, advises visiting the website, and then disconnects. Unfortunately, my account is locked, and the website's help form does not provide an option for this issue, leaving me unable to unlock it. Despite following the instructions and receiving a confirmation email promising my account would be unlocked within three days, it has been seven days with no resolution. The inability to reach a live person for assistance has made this customer service experience incredibly frustrating and disappointing. It feels more like Customer Torture than a service.

I have an eligible claim that has been awaiting adjudication review for payment since November [redacted]. The monetary determination indicates eligibility from 11/24/[redacted] to 11/23/[redacted]. I am also eligible for PUA. Despite my regular contacts with the department, submission of weekly job searches, and prompt payment requests, I have not received any payments. I was informed a month ago that the adjudication issue was resolved, and a waiver was sent to the wage determination department. My family of 5 is facing financial struggles and is relying on the support promised through this claim. Unfortunately, when attempting to call, the system does not offer hold options, and my calls are being disconnected. I urgently require assistance managing this claim and need a functional telephone number for reliable communication. I have been patient and respectful throughout this process as a veteran who is currently unemployed. It has been 5 months without any payments, and thousands of dollars are owed on my account since November [redacted].

My claims have been on hold due to a glitch when Florida extended unemployment due to the epidemic. Only a few were affected, and unfortunately, I was one of them. My claims were put on hold due to being incarcerated in [redacted], which should not interfere with [redacted]/[redacted] Florida unemployment. I have submitted all the correct documents but have been told to give them time. It has been four weeks now, and there is still no change. I am in the process of being evicted as I cannot afford to pay my rent. Additionally, I filed a claim in late August/early September due to my first two checks, totaling $12,[redacted], being stolen or misplaced. Two weeks ago, I was told they would issue me the missing checks, but nothing has been done yet. It's challenging to reach customer service by phone, and I would like my claims released, account off hold, and the lost or stolen checks reissued promptly. This is a time-sensitive matter, and I appreciate your help.

Claim Number: C-[redacted] Claimant: J. Brennan I submitted my initial benefit claim on May 1, [redacted]. My unemployment, beginning on April 1, [redacted], was due to the Covid-19 pandemic's impact on my work as an independent flooring contractor specializing in home renovations. After waiting until August [redacted], I received a notice of monetary determination in the mail, detailing my situation during the pandemic. I faced challenges finding work in my field under the new guidelines and eventually had to close my business due to financial instability. Despite filing my weeks' claims and requesting monetary consideration, technical issues on the unemployment website prevented me from making progress. My attempts to contact the authorities have been unsuccessful, prompting me to seek help from Governor Santis as a last resort after extensive efforts since April last year. I am in urgent need to speak with a representative for assistance. Email: [redacted] Phone: [redacted]

I've attempted multiple times to contact ID.me online and phoning the unemployment office. Additionally, I reached out to CareerSource Center, but I have not received any assistance. I received a letter indicating I have only seven days, and today is the sixth day. I'm unsure of what else to do. I've also sent emails and misplaced all important documents. It's been challenging to speak with a live representative on the phone, and I am feeling helpless in resolving this issue.

I have been trying to contact the unemployment office for the last three weeks without success. I have called every day during this time. Please reach out to me via phone at [redacted] or email. Thank you. Ms. Vera I. Jones.

I'm Cynthia Swaby and I've been trying to contact unemployment for nearly two months. Every time I call, the line is busy, and they can't call me back due to the voice lock. I understand the pandemic has caused chaos, but I urgently need to pay bills. All I need is to reset my PIN, which has been an issue for two weeks now. Can someone please help me for the sake of my kids?

My account has been locked for over 4 weeks now. I have already been verified through ID.me and I need my account unlocked. I am frustrated with not being able to reach your office no matter what time I call. I am considering involving my Governor to address this issue. I want to know why my account has not been unlocked despite being verified. The continuous busy phone lines at all hours are exacerbating the situation. I am growing increasingly agitated as my previous attempts to resolve this have been unanswered. I need a solution promptly.

I need assistance with verifying my identity through ID.me for the DEO. I am struggling to get the necessary information to the FL DEO to unlock my claim. Despite multiple attempts via phone, email, and online chat, I have not been able to reach a live person or obtain a response. I mistakenly created two ID.me accounts using different email addresses, with one being verified and the other denied due to the verification already being done on the first account. I am facing eviction, unemployment, and health issues (Covid-19, pancreatitis, pneumonia). Any help would be appreciated, possibly through a phone call. Name: Moises G. Number: [redacted] Email: [redacted] Claimant ID for DEO: [redacted] Verified ID.me account: [redacted] Unverified ID.me account: [redacted]

My unemployment account has been locked for weeks. I was informed that my account number was changed to Wells Fargo instead of Community First Credit Union for direct deposit. I've been struggling with the ID.me website and submitted my driver's license for verification. My phone calls haven't helped, and I keep receiving apology emails for the delay. My utilities are at risk, and foreclosure looms. Unable to apply for jobs without power, this is urgent. Claimant No. [redacted], Holly A. Baker. Contact me at [redacted]. Thank you. Desperate in Florida.

I have been locked out of my account for the third time due to ID verification issues. It has been over two weeks now, and despite numerous emails and phone calls, my account remains locked. I have followed the instructions to verify my identity on the ID me site multiple times to no avail. I am unable to claim my weeks, and it has been a month without any meaningful response other than automated messages instructing me to verify my identity again. The phone system is frustrating as it either says all lines are busy or that the office is closed, despite my repeated attempts from morning till evening. This situation has been incredibly stressful, and I'm struggling to pay my bills due to this ongoing issue.

Hello, I am frustrated with the Department of Economic Opportunity (DEO) as it has been 2.5 months without any financial support. My claim status remains pending, under review, despite verifying with ID.me and registering with employflorida. Despite the work search waivers, which suggest I do not need to register with employflorida, I have done so. The phone lines are constantly busy, making it impossible to reach anyone for assistance, even when calling promptly at 8 am. Each time I try to check my pending status, I encounter technical errors and get kicked out. This situation is causing immense stress as I have dependents to provide for and no income source. My credit cards are maxed out. Despite following instructions, such as completing ID.me, I have not received the promised funds within 3-5 days. I feel ignored by the DEO with no job prospects on the horizon. Please, I need urgent help as I am in a desperate situation.

I have submitted my weeks to the DEO, but it is pending due to the 5 job search requirement still being in place. I have the job contact information ready but mistakenly believed the requirements were extended until the end of June. The letter I received indicated a response was needed by June 18th, but I only got it on June 19th. Can I complete the 10 job contacts online? Do I have to fill out sheets manually and fax them to the DEO? I am uncertain on the process as I was under the impression the job search requirement was waived. I have the details for the two weeks; I just need guidance on how to submit them correctly. Thank you for your assistance. Sincerely, S. Hopper

I'm seeking the attention of the Florida unemployment department concerning the handling of my claim. I urge them to address the ongoing issue of deducting money from my account for an overpayment that never occurred. This deduction has been happening for over six months, totaling $[redacted] each time, leaving my benefits exhausted. This repetitive cycle is frustrating, as I receive only $25 weekly, far below what I am entitled to. I have filed an appeal regarding this matter, but unfortunately, it has not been acknowledged. The last appeal I went through in [redacted] was also mishandled, taking four appeals before a meeting took place with incorrect information present. The referee overseeing the meeting was unprofessional and failed to recognize important details I tried to bring up. The entire situation has been quite distressing.
