I am boost customer. I am still locked down in NZ unable to return to Aust. I need to receive texts so I can get verification codes vis sms. Particularly so I can get my Australian vaccination passport. I know boost do not have roaming in NZ (and telstra do not have prepaid roaming) so I was advise the only options for me was to either get a new sim sent to a realitive in Aust and activate that or to send my sim over from NZ to Australia, insert that into a phone and it should be ok. Since to activate a new sim required a * way conversation between your telstra team, my brother in Aust (who is acting as my agent) and me (the owner of the sim), I chose option * which was to just send my sim back to Aust as the easiest option available. *My brother received my sim, tried it in his unlocked phone and it did not work. Only "emergency calls only". So after trying numerous fixes to try and get it to work to no avail your telstra team advice was that the sim must be faulty. So we went back to boost who sent a new sim to my brother in Aust. *He then called them who activated the new sim and was told that he would have to wait *-** hours before it came on-line. *It still does not work. He has a boost signal on his phone. He can call boost. but call or text (either call or receive) does not work.*He called boost again who said they could not find any reason for this and was put through to Telstra Tech help. Who also said they could find nothing wrong at there end.*I called boost help again yesterday. They again told me that it all seemed ok at there end. But to ensure check that the sim serial number that was in the phone matched the one they have for it. He told me the serial number. I confirmed the the sim serial number was the correct sim inserted into the phone.*I am desperate to get this working as I need to get the verification sms codes sent to enable me to access my covid vaccination passport so I can get back into Aust. *I cannot change my notification arrangement with MyGovt or Medicare without personally showing relevant ID at a service center, which of course I am unable to do as I am not in Aust and to get back into Aust I need this code. Please can you see why my phone is not calling or receiving sms (or ph calls). There is something not right at your end.
