I attempted to log into my Xbox Live account on a public computer, and it indicated that it has been locked due to suspicious activity. I do not have a registered phone number for receiving security codes via text, as I did not provide one when setting up the account. Moreover, I have been solely playing my Xbox offline, which makes it unclear why there are allegations of violating terms when I haven't even been online. It seems like my account may have been compromised by someone. I request a review of my account activity and the removal of the suspension, as I am adamant that I have not engaged in any wrongdoing.

I am experiencing issues with searching emails, contacts, and more in Outlook [redacted] on my Mac. Despite trying various solutions over the past couple of days, I still haven't been able to resolve the problem. It's becoming frustrating for me. Hello Brian, Thank you for contacting Outlook for Mac support. My name is Karthik, and I'm here to assist you with the issue you're facing. I'm sorry to hear about the difficulties you're encountering with the application. Let's work together to try the following steps to see if we can fix this problem. To begin, please ensure you quit Outlook entirely. Next, open 'Terminal' and input the provided command: sudo mdutil -E / After entering your Mac password, wait for the process to finish. You will receive a message confirming that indexing has been enabled. Once done, re-index the Outlook data folder and check for any improvements. Remember to quit Outlook by selecting 'Quit Outlook' from the menu before proceeding with the following steps: 1. Open Apple menu > System Preferences and click on Spotlight. 2. Navigate to the Privacy tab. 3. Access Finder: a. Go to the Go menu and select Go to Folder... b. Enter the following location: ~/Library/Group Containers/UBF8T346G9.Office/Outlook/Outlook 15 Profiles/ 4. Add the ‘Main Profile’ folder to the Privacy tab, then remove it to trigger a re-indexing process by Spotlight. Repeat this step for any additional profile folders you may have. I hope these steps help resolve your search issues in Outlook on your Mac. Looking forward to your feedback. Thank you.

I recently received an email stating that there was unusual activity on my Microsoft account linked to my hotmail address. I verified the email and changed my login details as recommended. However, I have been experiencing issues with receiving security codes to regain access to my account. Here is the email I received: Verify your account We detected something unusual about a recent sign-in for the Microsoft account fl*****@hotmail.com. For example, you might be signing in from a new location, device, or app. To help keep you safe, we've blocked access to your inbox, contacts list, and calendar for that sign-in. Please review your recent activity, and we'll help you secure your account. To regain access, you'll need to confirm that the recent activity was yours. Review recent activity Thank you, The Microsoft account team

Hello, I hope all is well. I am Vanessa Opokuwaah Dwomo, and my account name is [redacted] Recently, I had my phone screen repaired after it was broken for a while. However, my email account is currently frozen because I have reached the limit. I attempted to purchase more storage space, but I am still unable to access it. The recovery number linked to my account is my old Italian number which I no longer use, and I forgot to update it to my current UK number. Unfortunately, I have forgotten my password, and all my important documents and memories are stored in that account. I am concerned that my account may be deleted soon. I appreciate any assistance in regaining access to my account. Thank you for your time.

I'm struggling to resolve Error Code 0x[redacted]2 with Microsoft. Attempted to use Get Human for a code but received it late and it wasn't accepted. Microsoft emailed the code, but it's not working. Live Chat tried to sell me a program I don't need. I haven't used the link provided in the email. Disappointed with Microsoft's support quality as I haven't received any assistance yet. Can I get help without purchasing a program? I thought Microsoft offered free tech support. Need urgent help with this!

Recently, a call was received from [redacted]33 where a man claiming to be from Microsoft Office informed me of hackers in my system attempting to steal funds. Despite suspicions, they gained access to my computer under the guise of protection. They requested my e-banking code and threatened to damage my computer when questioned. I shut down my system, and wary of Microsoft's reliability, I upgraded my operating system. To my surprise, friends also reported similar calls from individuals alleging affiliation with Microsoft.

I recently received an email alerting me about a potential security update for my Microsoft account. The message claims that someone has initiated a process to change all my security information. However, I am hesitant to click on any provided links due to concerns about potential phishing scams. Additionally, I have also received a text message regarding this matter. Your prompt assistance in clarifying the legitimacy of these notifications would be greatly appreciated.

Hello. I have been a dedicated user of Windows Phone since Windows 8. Currently, I own the [redacted] XL model. I am wondering if there is a possibility to reintroduce the sideloading apps option from Windows Phone build [redacted] through a final minor update. This feature was previously part of Project Astoria. Focusing on this would greatly benefit Windows owners, allowing them to maximize their phone's potential until they transition to a new device. Additionally, considering integrating the predictive text system from Windows 8 into speech technology, like the late Stephen Hawking, could be a significant advancement. The algorithm in Windows Phone 8 was notably superior in making accurate word predictions, unlike Windows Phone 10, which offers numerous choices but sometimes misses the mark. This improvement could enhance user experience and potentially generate revenue. Thank you, Tom.

In December [redacted], I gave my Wife a Surface Pro 4 as a Christmas gift. We set it up with an outlook.com account, which was designated as the administrator. Over time, she stopped using the Surface, primarily using her desktop and iPad instead, and never accessed the outlook.com email. Recently, she wanted to use the Surface again while away from her desktop. When trying to update Windows 10 and apps, we encountered an issue as she couldn't recall the password for the outlook.com account. Despite attempting to reset it, we couldn't verify the account due to an unknown phone number and incorrect birthdate information. The recovery process required access to emails that were never used, leaving us unable to proceed. We're concerned the account may have been compromised and now aim to delete it entirely. We'd like to make her Microsoft [redacted] for business account the new administrator for the Surface. How can we go about achieving this? Thank you.

On 8/31/[redacted], while using Microsoft Edge, I encountered a warning that my account was in jeopardy and was prompted to call a number. After speaking with Sandra from the "fraud" department at 1-[redacted], she spent the day assisting me with removing viruses. Upon discovering a $7,[redacted] charge to a porn site on my Discover card, we attempted to resolve it by purchasing gift cards totalling $6,[redacted] from Best Buy and Target. Despite assurances from "Natalie Gibson" at Discover, it became apparent that I had been scammed. Discover confirmed the charges, and I reported the incident to the respective fraud departments and the police. Discover cancelled my card and advised me that they would not ask customers to buy gift cards for such purposes. As a victim of this scam, I am left unable to make legitimate payments until I receive a new card. It's a painful lesson learned, and I'm seeking guidance on how to proceed.

I prefer things to stay the same and I dislike constant updates that change my computer settings. Each time I receive an update, something on my computer gets lost. For instance, the last update caused me to lose all my personal friends' email addresses, making me go through the trouble of finding them all over again. I'm tired of these changes every time there is an update. It seems like there is a computer expert who wants to make changes without considering the impact on users. This carelessness leaves me frustrated. I am so fed up that I am considering throwing my laptop away. Please stop implementing changes without explaining what they do. Give users the option to choose whether they want the update or not. Not every new idea is beneficial to all users.

I recently encountered technical computer issues and reached out to Microsoft for help. They directed me to a company called Robotech Global, where I was asked to pay $[redacted].00 for lifetime 24/7 service. After charging this to my credit card ending in teeup88, they started working on my computer, which is now performing better. However, I later received a call stating they can't assist in the US, only in the UK and Canada. They mentioned refunding my money but said they could only do a bank transfer, which has not happened even after 8 days. They suggested collecting the refund from Walmart, but when trying to contact David for updates, I was unable to reach him and he hasn't returned my calls. This situation seems suspicious to me, and I fear I may have fallen victim to a scam.

We've set up an IBM consolidation server known as IBM Cognos Controller. This software utilizes Excel, leveraging an Excellink add-in for data entries. Our customer first installed a supported version of Excel [redacted] but encountered issues due to it not being activated. While Excel worked well for most reports, those requiring an activated version didn't function properly. Subsequently, the customer downgraded to a licensed Office/Excel [redacted], also supported by IBM, yet faced complete failure with reports needing the Excel add-in. Despite reaching out to IBM for assistance, the issue remains unresolved, prompting our search for troubleshooting guidance from Microsoft. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Amiel

I have my sister's old laptop that I changed the motherboard on. It originally had Windows 7 Home Premium. Since there was no backup disk, I used my old Vista recovery disks. I managed to reset it to factory settings with Vista, but I want to go back to Windows 7 in order to upgrade to Windows 10. I'm hoping the key is hidden on the hard drive to retrieve it. Thank you for your help!

After updating to the latest Windows 10 operating system, I encountered trouble logging into my laptop with my Microsoft account. The account seemed to be linked to an old email address, and I couldn't recall the password. Upon attempting to reset the password, it indicated I was using an old one. I chose a new password, but when I tried to log in with it, I was prompted with sign-in options I didn't have like a security key or Git-Hub. I'm unsure what steps to take next. Some screens also requested a product key, of which I'm unsure. Do I need to locate it to move forward, or can Microsoft support assist in another way? Can someone share the phone number for free Microsoft support regarding these issues?

I encountered an issue when trying to log into my computer. It prompted me to change my Microsoft password, which I did. However, after changing the password, I am unable to use the Windows Hello Pin to access my computer, showing error code 0x801c004d. I researched the error code but did not find it on the list, so I'm reaching out for support. The only scenario where the Pin would stop working is if the computer was restored, which did not happen in my case as it has been untouched in my room. I also did not receive any emails regarding password changes. This unexpected situation has me concerned about my computer's security, and I simply wish to resolve the issue and regain access using the PIN. Thank you.

While on vacation, I am unable to access my Hotmail account due to it being blocked. Despite trying to recover it and providing accurate information, I am still locked out. The email for recovery belongs to someone traveling with me. I urgently need access to my emails. I am using my work email, which includes my name, to recover my blocked Hotmail account ([redacted]). I am also questioning why fingerprint authentication on mobile is not sufficient for accessing my emails, especially considering this situation.

While using Edge, my husband encountered a security alert requiring a username and password due to a purported security issue. A phone number, 1-[redacted], was provided, claiming our IP address was involved in identity theft. The computer is now frozen with instructions not to shut it down to prevent identity theft. Despite restarting, the problematic screen persists. The computer runs on Windows 10.
