We stayed at the Magnuson Grand North in Columbus Ohio. We were told on the hotwire website that is was a hotel "like" Homewood suites and the Holiday Inn. We waited for the hotel that was going to pop up and unfortunately it was the Magnuson. We had a very deceptive view of the hotel by the fake and misleading photos. We arrived and checked in at the dirty, sketchy, front desk. We were greeted with rudeness. My husband asked what time the pool closed, we arrived at about *:** pm. We were told it closes at *pm and the lifeguard doesnt come in until *pm the next day. So we asked why and he said because they dont feel like coming into work. So we were u able to use the pool at all. Then we got to the room, which we had to enter from the outside, we walked in the room. It smelled of fish, carpet had moisture, there were gnats, and it smelled of illegal drugs. Outside lurkingwere smoking individuals begging for weed and drug utensils. We complained to get a new room. The new room was worse, we had to climb stairs, the air did not work, the toilet wouldnt barely flush, and the room smelled like weed and other things. Very small, nasty linens. And we were not offered a solution. At all. I don't know who to blame, management or employees but there needs to be a solution to this hotel running poorly. It is sad to spend your money on something that is supposed to be a comfortable stay. I am very displeased. Maybe hotwire needs to be informed that the photos are either edited or taken from another location. I would like a refund.
