Eventually, we were told it was fixed* however, it was hot in the plane for the entire trip. Normally I need a sweater but this time, even though I was wearing a short-sleeved top, I was very uncomfortable for the entire trip.*Delta **** : *When we arrived to the airport, there was no Delta attendant available to push my mother’s wheelchair (we had brought our own) and a very nice woman from security wheeled her to a seating area until the Delta counter opened. At that point, somebody pushed my mother a very short distance, and was handed off to somebody else. After security, we were told we had to take the cart which was difficult for my mother as she had to climb on that plus, it was difficult to fold up the wheelchair and even more difficult to place it on the cart. It turned out that the gate was not that far and somebody could easily have walked with us. When we were boarding in Richmond nobody showed up to push the wheelchair to the plane for my mother. I requested assistance * different times and finally I ended up pushing her chair myself, while pushing a roll on carry on and a bag, down the ramp which was rather long and even had a turn in it halfway down. This was completely unacceptable. When we went to board, the flight attendants were running around putting down the first class bags etc and said they hadn’t been told that boarding would start. What a disaster!**We were seated in “comfort class”* however, I would not consider these to be “comfort”. I’ve been on other airlines where the “comfort” seats have extra width as well as extra foot room. These seats were extremely narrow. To make matters worse, on the flight from Atlanta to West Palm, I had a window seat and an extremely overweight man (well over *** *bs) sat in the middle seat and spilled over to my seat. This forced me to lean to the right which caused pain on my right side and neck. ON top of that, he had extreme body odor and I had to put a piece of clothing over my nose for the entire flight. This man should not have been permitted to buy a single seat as he needed two seats for his bulk. Sitting next to him was unbearable. I did mention this issue to the head flight attendant as I disembarked. They were aware of the situation. He should have been stopped before boarding as it was very obvious that he would not fit in a normal seat.*In summary, I’m extremely disappointed and very unhappy with Delta Airlines and would like a refund for this trip. My mother is ** years old and needed the extra assistance. I’m almost ** years old and it was extremely difficult for me to push the wheelchair and the luggage and take care of my mother.*A timely response would very much be appreciated.*Sincerely,*Barbara A Molina (and Dorothea A Kimlicka)
