I recently received two phone calls from individuals claiming to be representatives from Dish. The first call mentioned that the dish satellite needed to be moved to improve reception during inclement weather, requiring recalibration of our three boxes. The follow-up call came from a person named Sean in the technical service department offering a promotion for new equipment installation for free. However, he requested my social security number and credit card information to process a refundable charge of one dollar. I hesitated about providing credit card details over the phone, despite his assurances of security. He suggested calling a specific number for verification. This situation has left me feeling uneasy. I wonder if this was a valid call from Dish. I'm experiencing difficulty with my remote control for my primary TV. Despite changing the batteries multiple times, it remains unresponsive unless I push hard. Contrarily, the remote for my secondary TV works perfectly. I attempted to chat for assistance previously, but encountered obstacles requiring membership I wish to avoid. I recently received a new Dish box after my previous one had an issue. However, the replacement box has brought about a new set of problems for me. As a loyal Dish customer for 15 years, I must say this is the most disappointing service experience I have encountered. I strongly desire to have my old box reinstated. The new remote, the 54, is incredibly frustrating to use, and the overall system seems poorly designed in terms of programming and remote functionality. I am searching for a comprehensive manual to guide me through all the functions of this new remote effectively. In the past, there was a detailed [redacted]-page manual that came with the box, which was very helpful. It is disheartening that this time I have to rely on trial and error to navigate the new system. I am extremely dissatisfied with this new box and am considering terminating my contract soon. I will not be recommending Dish to anyone and plan to advise my family and neighbors to explore other service providers.

I need help adding Paramount Plus app to my QN65Q80TAFXZ Smart TV and using the Dish TV remote to operate it. I can see Paramount Plus on the home screen, but it only works with the Samsung remote, not the Dish Network TV remote. I managed to get Fox Nation on another way and moved it to the home button, but I can't do the same with Paramount Plus. I'm looking to use the Dish TV remote for all apps in the Samsung home section. If this is possible, it would be great. Thank you, Joe M.

I am experiencing financial difficulties and can no longer afford my Dish bill. I have Dish TV, but I am unable to connect to Netflix. An error message prompts me to connect to broadband, but my Dish Hopper cannot link to the internet router. I'm uncertain where to input my internet details. This issue has persisted, with occasional unexplained resolutions, but now it has been nearly a year since I could access Netflix through Dish. Despite hiring a technician who was unsuccessful, I have been paying for a service I cannot use with Netflix or Prime Video. My internet seems to be functioning fine according to Hughes Net, and I have the router information: network name "brain67part" with password "marthalee123." Although I have contacted customer service, they claim there is no account under my name or the phone number [redacted]. I have been a long-time customer of Dish Network. Recently, we received a new box and remote control, but we are facing trouble setting it up in the bedroom TV. The main TV in the living room works fine, but the bedroom TV is not receiving any signal. Despite trying different TVs and universal remotes, I have been unable to reach a resolution through Dish customer service. I am frustrated with this ongoing issue and require a technician to visit and resolve the problem promptly. If this matter is not addressed within 10 days, I will be forced to consider cancelling my service and exploring other options like DirecTV. As senior citizens on a fixed income, it is challenging to have such a high bill without enjoying the service fully. Five years ago, I relocated from St. Louis to near Chicago. Encouraging the dish technician to provide St. Louis local and Fox Midwest sports channels, it was all set up correctly. Three years back, my wife wanted Chicago news, hence the shift to Chicago local channels including Fox Sports Chicago. Now, I seek to return to St. Louis channels. Despite what sales representatives claim about "regulations," it seems unreasonable that I cannot make this adjustment. Considering my proximity to St. Louis, it is disheartening that even with MLB TV, I am unable to access Cardinal games. I am aware that this change is feasible as it was facilitated five years ago. Notably, my father-in-law in Peoria receives Fox Sports Midwest through dish. Could I potentially acquire the local Peoria package with Fox Sports Midwest included, or is there a straightforward option to add Fox Sports Midwest to my current service for an additional fee?

We are paying at least $[redacted] per month for our Dish service and are considering canceling if we cannot have access to ME tv, one of our favorite channels. The KNHL channel on channel 5 has been replaced with music for over a month now. Although KNHL was not the best way to watch ME tv due to local program interruptions, we miss having a full-time ME tv channel like [redacted], which we no longer have access to. When attempting to tune into channel [redacted], we are redirected to channel [redacted]. Despite being long-time Dish customers and generally content with the service, we are not satisfied with the current channel lineup. We also enjoy watching channels [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], [redacted], 82, [redacted] on weekends, as well as channel [redacted] Weather Nation. In February [redacted], I contacted DISH for TV and internet services. The installer placed the dish on the roof despite my request for it to be in the yard. They left the equipment on the kitchen table and didn't provide the promised $[redacted] VISA prepaid card. When I called to report this, I was told no internet service or prepaid card was included in my order. After numerous calls, I received the equipment box in June [redacted] along with a $[redacted] invoice. I packed and returned the equipment, documenting everything with photos. DISH's misinformation and billing practices are unacceptable. I have contacted multiple collection agencies and explained my situation as a disabled retired senior citizen. I refuse to pay for services I didn't receive and demand removal from collections and any negative impact on my credit score. I am seeking legal representation to address this issue promptly.

This has been ongoing for weeks, reflecting poorly on work ethic. If not addressed, it reflects on Dish's management.
