I'd like to confirm if ComEd is associated with Vista Energy Marketing. Two agents visited our neighborhood identifying as ComEd agents and offered to fix a one-time rate for our ComEd service. They checked my family member's documents, and even though they didn't have a ComEd service form, they used a letter with our address and account number. They set us up for the one-time rate without any signed paperwork. They made a call using our phone and assured us we were all set. I'm concerned about this situation and want to stay with ComEd without involving other parties. I appreciate any guidance on what steps I should take on my end. Thank you.

I reside at the [redacted] South block of President Street in Wheaton, Illinois, Zip Code [redacted], near the intersection of President and Roosevelt. While most of my neighborhood has power following the severe storm on November 25th, [redacted], there are less than 10 houses, including mine, that remain without power. I find it perplexing that neighboring homes, even those directly across the street or around the corner, have electricity while we do not. I would appreciate a clear explanation for this situation and hope to speak with a live representative promptly. Please provide a direct phone number for assistance as I intend to seek answers until this issue is resolved. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am interested in the hourly pricing program offered with your new smart meters. I am contemplating installing solar panels on my roof to generate energy. At times, I may be contributing excess energy to ComEd's grid. Will the meter track net meter readings? If I generate more energy than I use in a billing cycle, can I receive a payment or credit on my account? Will the credit/payment be based on real-time hourly prices and the amount of energy generated during each hour? In the event I sell my home and have a credit on my ComEd account, can I request a monetary payment for the surplus energy? Thank you for your assistance.

I recently received a GE No Frost upright freezer manufactured in July [redacted] from my sister. It replaced a Sears Kenmore upright freezer, Model [redacted], bought in July [redacted] which needs manual defrosting. I prefer the GE unit for its no-frost feature, even though it's used and newer than the Sears freezer. However, my husband thinks we paid more for the GE than the Sears. I am interested in getting rid of the Sears freezer due to its age and the hassle of periodic defrosting. Please let me know what other information you require to help me with this decision.

On October 1st, I attempted to cancel my service. Despite speaking with a supervisor who promised to review the call from that day and get back to me, I did not receive a callback. After contacting them again on November 8th, the supervisor allegedly called me back, which never happened. Despite three assurances that my service would be canceled, I was recently charged again. I have not utilized the service since September 31st and would like to cease these unwarranted charges. I am seeking prompt and effective assistance to resolve this matter.

As a senior citizen, I recently discovered my small garage freezer is no longer working. Despite efforts, local waste services declined to pick it up. Various companies like Got Junk quoted over $[redacted] for removal, which is beyond my means as a non-working widow. Suggestions from Sauk Village Town Hall led me to Bloom Township, which does not offer this service, and now I am turning to you, Com Ed, for help. The freezer is compact, measuring 33" high, 28" wide, and 19" deep. I kindly ask if you could assist me in removing it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

Hello, I'm Barbara R. Siler, a new customer of ComEd. I am reaching out regarding my account tied to Masada Management at [redacted] S. Bennett Ave., the management company for my building. I received information from ComEd that Masada Management is two months behind on the gas/cooking gas account. In order to prevent future delays, I was advised to set up my own account, which I did on Feb. 1, [redacted]. However, I have not yet received a bill. My address is [redacted] S. Bennett Ave. Apt. 1 South. I wish to confirm if I indeed have an individual account as my utilities were previously covered within my rent under WPD Management. I kindly request assistance to resolve this promptly. Thank you. Sincerely, Ms. Barbara R. Siler

I reside at [redacted] Pontiac in Wilmette. There is a sizable ComEd electrical box outside our home near the street that has become unsightly due to snowplowing and ice. It is now slightly askew. Due to limited space and being surrounded by driveways, planting around this box is a challenge. Additionally, being near Harper Elementary School, any plants around the box can be hazardous to young children in the area. Clearing the area around the box is crucial for visibility for children and carpool cars. I have been a resident here for 23 years and am wondering if burying the electrical box is a feasible option. This change would greatly enhance safety and the visual appeal of our block. Thank you. Anne W. R. [redacted]

I want to address an issue with the company working on new wooden pole installations in the southeast of Chicago. Numerous poles have been left uninstalled for years at various locations including [redacted] and [redacted] Peoples Bank parking lot, [redacted] E. 95th St., [redacted] S Baker Ave, [redacted] South Shore Drive, and near Edward Sadlowski Elementary School at around 104th Ave. These unfinished installations are not only a waste of money but also an eyesore. It’s frustrating to see customer bills increase while these poles are left to rot. It would be beneficial for a supervisor to inspect these locations and ensure the timely completion of these installations.

I am seeking a disconnection for a rental property I own with account number [redacted]. The address is 19[redacted]E,N,rd momence Il. My name is Richard Maxfield. I have previously requested a service disconnect to change out my electrical panel to breakers and was expecting this to be done this morning at 8 o'clock, however, Edison did not show up. How soon can the meter be removed so that I can proceed with my task? Can I request an emergency disconnect today?

Last week, I called about tree branches endangering power lines. Someone came out and decided the tree near my house isn't your responsibility. I believe trimming the branches would be wise to prevent future issues. However, in the alley, there's a second tree by the transformer poles that seems to be a safety hazard due to severe rust on the transformer. I have photos of the issue, but I'm unsure how to share them within this chat.
