We had booked BA flights to Thailand before the lockdown and COVID-19 regulations were in place. Our travel dates were planned for the second week of November to early December, which is more than 30 days. Due to the current situation, the Thai authorities are not issuing visas unless individuals fall under specific categories, which unfortunately we do not. I am over 70 years old and my partner is in his sixties with underlying health issues. Despite multiple attempts to contact BA either online or by phone to postpone our flights to next year, we have been unsuccessful. My partner, who is a member of their Executive Club, even wrote a letter to them, but only received a response directing him to call a number. After numerous phone calls, he was given another number and still did not receive the assistance we needed. It seems like we are just going around in circles with no resolution in sight.

I must express my disappointment with the treatment I received from British Airways. My partner and I booked last-minute flights to Miami during a sale. Shortly after booking, I was informed that my return flight from MCO to MIA was canceled. Despite my concerns about a long layover in LHR, the initial customer service agent was unhelpful. Subsequent attempts to discuss compensation were met with confusion and ultimately led to a measly £17 refund for the cancellation. Adding insult to injury, another flight from NAN to LHR was canceled, prompting further fruitless discussions with unhelpful agents. After nearly two hours on the phone, I was forced to pay an extra £41 for a changed outbound flight from MCO that was not initially offered. The lack of communication, poor compensation, and additional charges for a situation beyond my control are truly disappointing. The time wasted on these calls is frustrating and unnecessary. I feel it is important to express my dissatisfaction with how this situation was handled.

Hello, my name is Kevin Samuel Yarde. My backpack was taken from me at Cairo International Airport in Egypt by the BA clerks who insisted it would be in the cargo. It contained my food, cash, bank cards, and wallet, leaving me without any resources for food or accommodation. Now, in Barbados at an army camp, I feel stranded and unable to contact a British clerk. My hotel reservations are canceled, and I am left feeling ashamed, terrified, and depressed. I hope to retrieve my belongings and seek compensation for this embarrassing ordeal. I am unable even to afford a simple snack or drink, as my original flight with BA was canceled and refunded due to a rescheduling incident involving cheapoair.com. I have always been a loyal customer and now desperately need assistance and compensation.

I had a confirmed ticket booked from Paris to India (Chennai - MAA) with a connecting flight at Heathrow airport on 25/10/[redacted] through the "EaseMytrip.com" website. Despite this, I was denied boarding and left stranded at the airport with no other choice but to return home. I reached out to the website for a refund, and they requested confirmation from your end to process it. With all my savings invested in the ticket, I now have no funds left and urgently need to return home. Although they have agreed to process the refund after understanding my situation (confirmed via email), I am still in a dire financial position and cannot afford another ticket. Please consider my request and financial predicament and process the refund for the ticket. Thank you for your understanding. Hello, I hold an Indian passport and plan to fly from Dublin (IRL) to New Delhi (IND) in December. During my journey, I will have a 1.5-hour layover in LHR on the way to India and a 2.5-hour layover on the return. I am aware that a transit visa is required, but there are no appointments available for bio-metrics. I have been granted 2 UK visas in the past. I am seeking advice on navigating this situation and traveling to India without a transit visa amidst these challenges. Thank you, Varsha

I made a flight booking and selected my seat. During checkout, I did not get charged for the seat due to a processing issue. However, I have been billed for the flight. There are now two charges on my credit card from BA. The initial charge, which includes the seat price, is pending since I bought the ticket last week. The second charge for the flight only has already been processed. The higher price, including the seat, has not been refunded yet, affecting my available balance. Will this be refunded automatically, or do I need to request a refund? Thank you. Regards, J.

Airline Confirmation: 4SB8BI I had chosen the Seafood Meal Option along with window seating and wheelchair assistance for all legs of my original booking. Due to British Airways canceling one of my connecting flights, my itinerary had to be modified. However, the original meal and seat options did not transfer over, so I kindly request to have them added to my new booking. Thank you.

My name is Eccy de Jonge. My booking reference is R17ST2. My surname is de Jonge, which matches my passport. Despite this, my name is consistently misspelled in various ways by your system. My login is listed as Dejonge, my ticket as Dejonge, and email correspondence arrives addressed as De jonge. I find it frustrating that such a large company struggles to spell a name correctly. Since my ticket is under the name Dejonge and I faced issues at security in January due to the same error, I hope to avoid this inconvenience again. Please ensure my name is corrected. Thank you.

Subject: Query Regarding Travel from Uganda to Bermuda Dear British Airways, We are interested in traveling to Bermuda from Uganda. Bermuda allows entry without a visa with a valid passport. The flights from Uganda to Bermuda via London Gatwick terminal are convenient for us, with departure times and durations that suit our schedule. Our main concern is the transit through the terminals due to the lack of a visa. We are looking for guidance on nearby airports or connecting flights that arrive at Gatwick terminal without the need for immigration clearance. Could you confirm if British Airways flights to Bermuda depart from Gatwick North or South terminal? We aim to transit smoothly without immigration procedures. Your assistance in providing information via email or phone would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Eugene D. Swan

I need assistance with filing a baggage claim. My luggage was delayed for more than a week and was returned in a damaged condition. I have attempted to submit the claim online multiple times, but I am unable to progress beyond the email and booking reference stage. This issue persists on both my mobile device and computer. After being on hold for 35 minutes and then redirected to another line, I was disconnected after waiting an additional 15 minutes. I am concerned as I am running out of time with only 7 days to file my claim. Can you please assist me in completing my claim promptly?

Hello, I am Mr. Mario Di Lemme, a business traveler and London resident since [redacted]. I hold Italian citizenship. I have a flight booked for the 23rd from London Heathrow to Venice, Italy, with a departure time of 12:35. My Booking Code is (QJMA7LA). Due to the latest restrictions imposed by the Italian government on December 20th at 17:30 Italian time, which has closed all Italian airports to flights from the UK, directly or indirectly, I noticed that two out of the three scheduled flights to Venice on the 23rd from Heathrow Terminal 5 have been canceled. However, my flight is still showing as scheduled on your website's Manage My Booking or flight status page. Could you please urgently clarify if there have been any changes or upgrades regarding my flight status? Thank you.

Booking Reference: TM3QH5 Last Name: Sagi Due to the new lockdown in India affecting flights from the UK, I am concerned about my upcoming journey on January 9th with British Airways. My flight from New Delhi (DEL) to New York (JFK) has a layover in London (LHR). Even though the current flight ban is until December 31st, there is a possibility it might be extended, preventing me from entering the UK for my 3-hour layover. I am unsure if my journey will be completed without restrictions since I have no entry into the UK and only a layover. Will the flight even take off considering my booking is from DEL to JFK with no direct ties to London? If that is not possible, could I please receive a full refund for my canceled ticket? I urgently need to explore alternative direct flight options for my studies in the USA.

I had a flight booked from Mumbai to Dublin on January 4th. The initial plan was to have a layover in London and then continue the journey to Dublin. However, with the flight from Mumbai to London being canceled due to travel restrictions, the next steps are unclear. Despite my attempts to reach customer service, there has been no clarification regarding the flight from London to Dublin. I am unsure of how to proceed with regard to a refund and if I can do it directly through the BA website.
