I am a member of Aetna (formerly BUPA) currently in Thailand. My name is Robert Blair Radcliff Buchanan. Recently, I was a victim of burglary and lost my membership card along with other valuables. Unfortunately, I had an accident while changing my address to Bangkok, resulting in a knee injury that landed me in Bumrungrad Hospital. I have been trying unsuccessfully to locate Aetna's local email address to request a new membership card and update my address to Tarntawan Apartment Place in Bangkok. Your assistance in this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Email: [redacted] Date: June 6, [redacted]

As a Johnson & Johnson employee, I recently received an extra bill from my health care provider for services my family member received back in January [redacted]. I had already paid the initial bill in March [redacted]. However, now I've been invoiced again in June [redacted] for the same January service, with two different Member Rates shown in the Explanation of Benefits from Aetna. After speaking with Aetna, I found out that providers can negotiate contracts with them to set Member Rates, which can result in retroactive rate adjustments being charged to customers. I am worried because there was no prior information about these rate adjustments being possible, leading to me paying double the original amount for the service. I am unsure if Johnson & Johnson's contract with Aetna includes this practice, as I couldn't find details on the benefits portal or Aetna's site. I am curious if this is a standard practice in the insurance industry or an exception.

In February, I submitted a claim for Short-Term Disability (STD) which was denied by AETNA citing missing paperwork, although I am certain it was sent. The appeal process ensued, and a Third-Party Doctor concluded my symptoms were not severe enough for work absence, despite my medical providers' differing opinion as communicated in letters to Aetna. My 40-year tenure at UPS has been impacted by life events resulting in Depression, PTSD, and Anxiety Disorder, exacerbating my circumstances. I have not received payment for five months, despite having to meet support and alimony obligations. My STD Insurance should cover me if I am unable to perform my job normally due to an ailment, but I feel Aetna is prolonging the process unjustly, hindering my recovery and ability to return to work.

I am dealing with multiple medical issues that have not been properly diagnosed. I have seen various doctors who have provided conflicting diagnoses. While some specialists have ordered tests, none have investigated my symptoms thoroughly. The only sensible advice came from an ear, nose, throat specialist who identified an underlying issue causing my mouth symptoms. Blood work revealed low zinc and vitamin B6 levels, but follow-up care was lacking. My primary care physician suggested weight loss surgery instead of addressing the root cause of my symptoms. I am seeking a competent doctor who can accurately diagnose and treat my dry mouth, fatigue, tingling fingertips, facial rash, slow wound healing, and constant diarrhea. I am eager to find relief and improve my health quickly.

I am attempting to establish a Coordination of Benefits between Aetna and Cigna. My recent encounter with an Aetna agent was disappointing. The agent seemed to enjoy leading the conversation in a confusing and frustrating direction, making me feel like they took pleasure in causing discomfort. On the contrary, a Cigna representative named Debbie left me a voicemail displaying exceptional customer service skills. Comparing the experiences, it's evident that Aetna could improve employee phone etiquette based on Debbie's exemplary communication. Coordinating benefits with Cigna has been challenging, indicating possible systemic issues hindering the process. As a professional handling purchasing for a Fortune [redacted] company, I'm inclined to avoid involving Aetna in future opportunities due to this negative experience. I urge Aetna to address this matter promptly. The agent's conduct was unsatisfactory, and when I attempted to provide feedback, I was disconnected. Each interaction with your customer service revealed flaws, leaving me feeling unattended and frustrated. Best, Vaughn C.

After being involved in an accident, I contacted Rawlings Group as directed by member services. Unfortunately, as I didn't have my ID number, they couldn't locate my information. The representative provided his direct number for future reference but was still unable to find me even with all the details I provided. During the call, I overheard someone using inappropriate language and mentioning firing another person named Keith Conrad. When I inquired about the situation, I was told about this employee. I asked to speak to a supervisor to address my concerns but was unsuccessful in reaching one as it kept going to voicemail. I declined leaving a message and expressed my preference for a callback. The representative mentioned emailing client services and attempting to arrange for a supervisor to get in touch with me.

I was contacted about my benefits, but the conversation felt more like a gentle interrogation about my well-being. I need to reach out to the same person to ask her a question since I know she is licensed. I shared with her my health concerns and lack of energy due to recent events. If possible, please let her know my condition has worsened. I have been struggling for the past five hours to make a simple work call. Thank you and I hope you have a great day!

I am a provider representative named Regina Bast-Martinez from Oband Medical Group. I am reaching out concerning patient Clifford Duernberger's unpaid claims and the issue with Aetna not processing CPT code [redacted] (unlisted code for Mesh) despite it being payable. Aetna has declined to reprocess the claim, citing insufficient review of medical records and failure to consider Medical Necessity. We are requesting the correct payment for both the surgeon and the assistant involved in the claim for DOS 2/9/17. Despite involving DOI and DOL, Aetna has persistently refused to address Mr. Duernberger's claims. Your assistance in resolving this matter is greatly appreciated, as the patient is understandably distressed by Aetna's stance.

I am reaching out regarding my close friend, P.K., aged 63, born on March 18th, [redacted]. P.K. has Aetna as a provider and has been experiencing severe knee pain for years, necessitating a knee replacement. After losing around 35 pounds to prepare for surgery, the procedure was scheduled for Monday, April 29th. Unfortunately, Aetna denied coverage, insisting on 24 weeks of physical therapy before approving the surgery. Despite medical professionals recommending the knee replacement, Aetna is refusing coverage, causing distress to my friend. P.K. is in significant pain and feeling despondent. His loved ones are also deeply concerned. This situation is unjust, and the policy needs an urgent review to help this kind-hearted individual promptly.

I received my first dose of the Shingrix vaccine on April 26, [redacted], and was instructed to come back for the second dose in 2-6 months. When I went in for the second injection on June 28, I was told by the pharmacy that Aetna had rejected the request due to a supposed second dose I received in May [redacted] in California, which I did not get, as I live in Kentucky. After hours on the phone with Aetna, no resolution was reached, and now I'm stuck trying to sort this out. Despite attempts to resolve the issue, I have hit roadblocks and have been given conflicting instructions. I have spent countless hours on the phone and am frustrated with the lack of progress. My name is Debra L. Ison, and my member number is MEBLMXLJ. I reside at [redacted] Old Station Rd., Frankfort, Ky. [redacted]. I need assistance to resolve this matter promptly and schedule my second Shingrix injection.

I am writing to request a copy of the [redacted] formulary for Part D plan coverage. The company I selected for this year, Cigna, has already provided me with their formulary. Last year, on the final day of enrollment, I was torn between choosing your plan or Cigna. The staff at Aetna offered me excellent assistance, which led me to switch back to Cigna. Although I received an ID card from your company, after a few months, I realized I should have stuck with your plan. If possible, could you please send the formulary to Clay S. at [redacted] Vanderbilt Ct., Denton, TX [redacted]? I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I am currently in the process of applying to become a provider with Aetna. Initially, I submitted an application as a facility since we offer ancillary durable medical equipment. However, I received an email from Aetna requesting me to complete the application as a medical professional. I am encountering some difficulties filling out the form due to limited options provided. The form instructs me to call a number for additional assistance, but the number redirects me back to the form. I am seeking assistance in completing the form. Thank you, Cori.

I submitted the form you sent me for an old premium owed to my deceased Brother, M.H. Brown, who passed away on 1/9/[redacted] in Erie, PA. The amount owed is approximately $60.00. After sending the form, I received a confusing response asking for a Power of Attorney, which we never had, and probate information. In Pennsylvania, his estate was not large enough to require probate. As his only living sibling and next of kin, I lived with him, took care of him, and now I need to understand why you are asking for unnecessary documents like Power of Attorney or probate.

I have questions about my coverage, particularly regarding medication and specialist referrals under my Medicare plan through the health market. I understand there is a $[redacted] deductible. Additionally, my test strips are costly and may not be covered. As someone on a limited income, I seek advice on managing these expenses. Furthermore, I have received a bill of $[redacted] for a specialist visit. I plan to schedule another appointment with a healthcare market representative to address these issues.

A few months ago, I had a bad ear infection and visited a CVS on-site office. I went last minute without my insurance details or card. The nurse couldn't access my coverage information, so I had to pay $99.00 in cash for the visit. I'm unsure about any deductible or co-pay. I want to know how much I can get refunded if I submit the paperwork. My primary email is [redacted], but for work purposes, please send sensitive info to Kevin.O'[redacted] - Kevin O'Connor

In December, I selected additional health insurance through Anthem BCBS after having coverage with Aetna. During my time with Aetna, my premiums were automatically deducted from my bank account. Unfortunately, Aetna continued to charge me in [redacted]. I am struggling to reach someone at Aetna to address this issue. The contact numbers on their website have not been helpful, leading me to dead ends. Could you please supply me with a telephone number where I can speak to a knowledgeable representative who can assist me? I have tried the numbers listed on the website to no avail. Thank you.

I relocated to Greenville, TX over a year ago and have been searching for an OB-GYN within our network and under Aexcel. I came across one that is listed by Aetna for both criteria. When I called to schedule an appointment, I was informed that regardless of insurance coverage, I would need to pay $[redacted] upfront to see the doctor. This upfront cost surprised me as I have never paid more than $20 out of pocket for an OB-GYN visit. The OB-GYN I am attempting to visit is Zapata in Greenville, TX. I am seeking assistance as I would like to proceed with my appointment without having to pay such a high fee upfront for routine tests.
