What are the requirements for a learner's permit?

Asked 6 months ago
To obtain a learner's permit in Tennessee, you must fulfill certain requirements. Firstly, you must be at least 15 years old and submit proof of identity, such as a birth certificate or passport. Additionally, you need to present proof of residency, like a utility bill or lease agreement. As for documentation, a social security number or proof of ineligibility must be provided. Next, you must pass a vision test and a written knowledge exam covering traffic signs, rules, and Tennessee driving laws. If under 18 years, proof of school attendance or graduation is required. A parent or legal guardian's consent is also necessary, including their signature on the application. Lastly, payment of the required fee is necessary to obtain a learner's permit at the Tennessee DMV.
