TD Wire transfers can take 3-5 business days. To send a wire transfer, the account holder must visit a local branch. You will need to provide the information below to successfully wire money:

  • Name of account holder and address
  • Account number
  • Branch full address and number
  • Institution number
  • IBAN code/ Swift Code/ BIC
  • Routing number (for international transfers)

The fee for wiring a payment to another TD Canada account is $16. To send a wire internationally or to a non-TD account, the payment will be $50. If you're receiving a wire payment, the fee will be $17.5.

Receiving a Wire Transfer

You will need the following information to receive the wire transfer from TD Canada:

  • Recipient name and full address
  • Account number of the recipient
  • The branch's full address and transit number
  • TD's Swift Code and Institution Number

TD Canada's Swift Code is TDOMCATTTOR, and the Institution number is 004.

When the transfer is in a U.S. dollar currency, you may need to provide the information of the intermediary or correspondent bank.

TD Canada account holders with other foreign currency accounts or U.S. dollar accounts must provide the account number of the correct currency. Otherwise, the funds will be converted to the currency of the recipient's account. It's also important to provide the correct information, such as the name or the address, or the funds sent will be returned.

How to Locate the Closest TD Canada Branch

Go to the Branch Locator page on the official website to find the closest branch. You can input a street address, city, postal code, province or transit number. You may also use the TD app to find the nearest branch. If you have questions about sending a wire transfer, please contact Customer Support

Why does GetHuman Write How-to Guides for TD Bank Problems?

GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
