Paying With a Postmates Gift Card

It's easy to pay for your Postmates food delivery using your gift card. Just follow the steps listed below:

  1. Check your email to find the electronic gift card, or find the 16-digit number and PIN on your classic gift card.
  2. Open Postmates on your phone, tablet or computer.
  3. Click "Promos and Credits" in the menu.
  4. In the section that says "Enter codes," enter your gift card code.

This will add your Postmates gift card to your account balance and will be used as the default method of payment until the balance is zero. Then, it will revert to the stored payment method.

Another way to pay with your Postmates gift card is to do the steps below:

  1. Open Postmates on your device and log into your account.
  2. Add items to your cart for delivery.
  3. Go to checkout.
  4. Set delivery address and delivery time (priority, standard or schedule a time).
  5. At "Payment Methods," click "Edit."
  6. Select "Add Payment Method."
  7. Click "Gift card."
  8. Enter the gift card code and click "Apply."
  9. Click "Place Order" to complete the purchase.

Using your Postmates gift card is subject to certain limitations:

  • Users cannot use Postmates gift cards to purchase alcohol.
  • Tips cannot be covered by a Postmates gift card.
  • Postmates gift cards cannot be used to purchase additional gift cards. For example, if you receive a $100 gift card, you cannot purchase four $25 gift cards with it; the entire amount must be applied to your account.
  • Gift cards act just like cash for purchases and should be safeguarded like cash.
