McAfee is a company that sells computer security software products and subscriptions. If you have a McAfee subscription that you would like to cancel, read on to find out how.
If you have an annual subscription to one of the Consumer or Small Business Security services, you are eligible for a refund if you cancel the subscription and make a refund request within 30 days of the date you made the subscription. You can also get a refund for your annual subscription if you cancel your subscription and request a refund within 60 days of the subscription being renewed. If you have a monthly subscription to any service, you are not eligible for a refund.
If you no longer need your McAfee product subscription, the easiest thing to do is turn off auto-renewal. Doing so is effectively canceling your subscription. It stops new charges from being applied to your credit card. It also allows you to continue using the subscription until the end of your current subscription. To turn off auto-renewal for your subscription, just follow these instructions:
1. Go to McAfee's home page.
2. Click on My Account.
3. Sign into your account.
4. Click on the Log In button.
5. Hover over My Account to bring up the drop-down menu.
6. Click on Auto-Renewal Settings.
7. Locate the subscription you want to cancel. Click on the On/Off button beside it.
8. Click on the Turn It Off button to confirm your choice.
If turning off the auto-renewal is not an option for you, you may want to fully cancel your account, remove your email and all of your account details. At this point, you need to contact McAfee's customer service and request a full cancellation. You cannot cancel your account by yourself. McAfee has chat, help desk, email and phone options for contacting customer service.
GetHuman has been working for over 10 years on sourcing information about big organizations like Comcast in order to help customers resolve customer service issues faster. We started with contact information and fastest ways to reach a human at big companies. Particularly ones with slow or complicated IVR or phone menu systems. Or companies that have self-serve help forums instead of a customer service department. From there, we realized that consumers still needed more detailed help solving the most common problems, so we expanded to this set of guides, which grows every day. And if you spot any issues with our What do I do if my Xfinity TV or internet is out? guide, please let us know by sending us feedback. We want to be as helpful as possible. If you appreciated this guide, please share it with your favorite people. Our free information and tools is powered by you, the customer. The more people that use it, the better it gets.
After helping consumers for 10 years, we realized that you need an impartial, live person you can talk to about comparing the various TV, cable, Internet and phone plans in your area- somebody who can compare the best deals across telecom providers. So we created a free concierge service you can call at the phone number below.
