A phone number or live chat would be better, but some prefer Facebook Messenger to email for contacting customer service. The full list of ways to contact customer service is below, and the Editor also left some notes that might be helpful.
Q:Does Google offer 24 hour customer service?
A:Not at this phone number. Below are other customer service channels and hours. Meanwhile, we can help you find information and answers to your specific problem:

How to contact Google Customer Service

There are of course other ways to contact Google customer service besides the phone. Below we list them by medium, from most to least popular.
Facebook / Messenger
Some customer service teams, like that of Google, accept inquiries through Facebook Messenger. This is a good option if you have a Facebook account, and you may even be able to converse live with an agent this way.
Google's website
As a last, sometimes only, resort- Google customer service can be accessed through their website. This can entail digging through help articles before finding a form and "being allowed" to submit a problem to their team. Since this rarely leads to a real-time conversation, GetHuman does not recommend this unless it's the only way.

Can I get through to a real live person at this number?

Even though this Google number does not get you to a call center manned by actual human beings, GetHuman researchers still call it regularly to document the phone system.
This phone number is all recordings. When our research team calls it, we still take notes about any important changes or information so that you don't have to call to find out yourself. Here is their latest summary: Press 5, 3, then 0

My Experience Calling 650-253-0000

Jan 10, 2024

I'm admittedly not the most tech-savvy person,  but I'm also not a beginner. I was in my twenties when the internet first came out and I attempted to keep up with the trends. I've had a Gmail account for over a decade, and while I do my best to keep up with emails, I have certainly reached a breaking point. That's why I keep getting storage warnings and, at this point, deleting old emails hardly seems to be making a dent. I figured it's time to look into buying more storage, but I'm not sure what the best solution is for me.

Google keeps sending me their deals, but I'm a bit apprehensive because the deals change by the day it seems and I don't understand the terms. Before I subscribe to something that will lock me into a contract for my data (and I'm not about to lose my data), I want to ensure I know what I'm doing. It seems Google has the upper hand here, since using your data as leverage is intimidating. That's why I thought I would just call the company.

Unfortunately, this very modern company doesn't seem to believe in phone call support. At first, I was worried about calling because I thought I could be on hold forever. Google is used by millions of people daily, so the potential number of people on hold for questions about Gmail, Android phones, Chrome, and so on is endless. However, it turns out my worry was moot because I'm not sure anyone is manning the phone lines to actually answer questions.

When I called Google's 650-253-0000 phone number, a voice assistant picked up and said, "Hi, welcome to the Googleplex in Mountain View, California. Just so that you know, we record calls for training, subject to our privacy policy. Hang on." Then another person seemingly picked up, but it was just another voice assistant who stated, "So what's the issue you are calling about?"

I replied, "Help with Gmail storage options," and the voice replied, "Alright, our specialists recommend that you start with the Gmail support site. You’ll get help with using email, like if you are having problems with email or storage. You can also get help with managing your account. The address is support.google.com/mail." It then asked if I wanted to hear that message again, when I said no, it simply replied, "Alright. I hope that helps. And thanks for calling. Bye." The line went dead after that, leaving me a bit shocked. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do, but I can rule out talking to a person at Google it seems.

Conclusion and closing notes

This is Google's best phone number, the real-time current wait on hold and tools for skipping right through those phone lines to get right to a Google agent. This phone number is Google's best phone number because 211,146 customers like you used this contact information over the last 18 months and gave us feedback. Unfortunately, no Google customer service agents pick up the phone, so we've compiled other ways to solve common issues that customers call 650-253-0000 for, including Recover Account, Update Account Information, Technical Support, Complaint, Refund or Suspicious Charges and other customer support issues. The Google call center that you call into is answered by their IVR or robotic phone menu system which of course is open 24/7. In total, Google has 2 phone numbers. It's not always clear what is the best way to talk to Google representatives, so we started compiling this information built from suggestions from the customer community. Please keep sharing your experiences so we can continue to improve this free resource.

GetHuman does not provide call center services or customer support operations for Google. The two organizations are not related. GetHuman builds free tools and shares information to help customers of companies like Google. For large companies that includes tools such as our GetHuman Phone, which allows you to call a company but skip the part where you wait on the line to get a live human rep. We continue to work on these tools to help customers like you (and ourselves!) navigate the messy phone menus, hold times, and confusion with customer service. As long as you keep sharing it with your friends and loved ones, we'll keep doing it.
